The enclosure has its own height requirements. At each end of the court, the enclosure reaches a total height of 4 meters. For indoor installations, the height of the building also matters. FIP currently requires a minimum unobstructed height of 6 meters throughout the court and recommends an 8-meter minimum free height for new facilities. Lights and other equipment should not obstruct this playing space.

5. Net and court markings

A standard padel net spans the full 10-meter width of the court. Under current FIP rules, its height is 0.88 meters at the center and rises to 0.92 meters at the ends.

Service lines and the central service line divide the playing surface into the required service areas.

Lighting is another part of the overall court system rather than an accessory that should be added at the end of the project.

Fixtures need to provide suitable visibility without creating unnecessary glare for players. Their position must also respect the required clear playing height and structural layout.

Glass Padel Court vs Panoramic Padel Court: Are They the Same?


Not exactly.

A glass padel court describes a court that uses glass as part of its enclosure. A panoramic padel court describes a particular structural approach intended to reduce visual obstructions around the glass.


This means panoramic courts are generally glass courts, but not every glass court is panoramic.


Traditional glass court designs may use more vertical steel posts between or around the glass panels. Panoramic designs reduce some of these structural interruptions to create a clearer viewing area.
